  1. What are the rules for parking commercial vehicles on Golden Valley near the Plum Canyon sign? It seems a yellow moving truck with trailers containing party rides and the Warner cable truck are ALWAYS parked there. The guy with the party rides is basically running his business on Golden Valley.

  2. Today the yellow moving truck is parked right in front of our Plum Canyon sign. Not a great first impression to someone visiting out beautiful neighborhood for the first time.

  3. Hello D- Golden Valley is an LA County Street and therefore is governed by the LA County Parking Rules and Restrictions. As such, vehicles are able to park on Golden Valley for 72 hours at a time, but must be moved after 72 hours or are subject to tow. I have seen the trucks at the entrance to the community on Golden Valley and I agree they are not a great "first impression" when entering the community. Unfortunately, so long as they are not parked for any longer than 72 hours there's very little the Association can do.
    Thank you for your post!

  4. They were parking behind our house, my wife asked them to move, but now they are parking in front of the sign. I asked the police about it, considering it to be a blight, they said the same thing. 72 hrs, however these guys, like many others who park away from their homes, are hip to this and check the vehicles daily for chalk marks. They also came in yelling and cursing a couple of sundays ago, really horrible. Maybe PMP should ask LA county to make it a no-parking zone, and offer to pay for the signs? that would be proactive. Thanks.

  5. J- Thank you for your comment/suggestion. I am sorry to hear that you're having parking issues near your home. Unfortunately the streets throughout Plum Canyon have not been turned over to the County, so they are still developer/builder controlled. Until the streets are turned over it is highly unlikely that any modifications can be made that deviate from the County approved street improvement and/or signage and striping plans.
Once the streets are turned over to the County, it would then be necessary for you to address your concerns with the Board of Directors, who must approve such a proposal prior to our team being able to take action.
I am sorry that I don't have a better solution for you. I would suggest you continue to report any vehicle parked in the same location for over 72 hours and hopefully the situation will improve.
